The newspaper accounts, which date from 1903, are from the "Plainwell News" of Plainwell, Michigan. There is one photograph of the Nineteenth Michigan Infantry and a postcard of Libby Prison in Richmond, Virginia. Correspondence in this collection documents Mr. Anderson's efforts to receive an increased disability pension from the United States government.
